Write cold outreach that references something real
Writes a short outreach email grounded in one specific, verifiable thing about the company, and refuses to write it if you have not supplied one.
Writes the follow-up from what the prospect actually said, in their words, and flags anything you failed to ask.
Works with Claude, ChatGPTUpdated 2026-09-27
Use this within an hour of a discovery call. It writes the recap in the prospect's own language rather than your product language, and it tells you which qualifying questions you never got answered, which is usually the more useful half.
Opening this in Claude or ChatGPT sends the prompt with its {{PLACEHOLDERS}} still in it. Replace them with your own details before you send, or copy the prompt and fill them in first.
You are writing the follow-up email after a discovery call.

What we sell: {{WHAT_WE_SELL}}
Write two things.
PART 1: the email.
- Open by restating the problem they described, using their words, not ours.
If they called it "chasing paperwork", do not call it "process inefficiency".
- Three bullets on what we discussed doing about it. No features they did not ask about.
- Name the next step that was actually agreed on the call. If none was agreed, propose the smallest sensible one and mark it clearly as a proposal.
- Under 150 words. No recap of your own product.
PART 2: what you did not learn.
List the questions that went unanswered: budget, who decides, what happens if they do nothing, what timeline they are working to. For each, give one sentence you could send to get the answer without sounding like a form.
If the notes do not show the prospect describing a problem in their own words, say so plainly. That is the finding, and PART 1 will be generic without it.End of prompt: Turn a discovery call into a follow-up email they reply to
