Rewrite a paragraph for one specific reader
Rewrites copy for a named audience and shows you what it cut, so you can tell whether it lost meaning or only lost padding.
Produces subject lines that say what is inside, plus a note on which ones overpromise, so the open does not cost you the trust.

Use this once the email itself is written. Subject lines invented before the content tend to promise something the email does not deliver, and this checks for exactly that.
Opening this in Claude or ChatGPT sends the prompt with its {{PLACEHOLDERS}} still in it. Replace them with your own details before you send, or copy the prompt and fill them in first.
Here is the email:
<email>
{{EMAIL}}
</email>
Who it goes to:
{{AUDIENCE}}
Write eight subject lines. Cover these approaches, and label each one:
- PLAIN: what the email is, stated flatly.
- SPECIFIC: leads with the most concrete detail in the email, usually a number or a name.
- QUESTION: only if the email actually answers it.
- CONSEQUENCE: what the reader risks by not reading it, but only if the email supports that.
Keep every line under 50 characters. No emoji. No "Re:" or "Fwd:" on an email that is neither.
Then, two short sections:
- OVERPROMISES: any line above that the email does not deliver on. Say which line and what is missing. Include your own lines here; if none overpromise, say so.
- MY PICK: one line, and one sentence on why.
If the email has no single clear point, say that first. No subject line fixes an email that does not know what it is for.End of prompt: Write subject lines that describe the email
